  we all are gifted with something.. i would say that i am gifted with a great sense of humor and i'm told i'm very discerning and perceptive.. now, if you asked me to hammer a nail, i'd think about getting a screwdriver...... .

  recent events on this board have got me thinking, which is no small feat.

  christians are arguing more with each other than with atheists.. christians used to be sure of what they believed solid in their faith and certain of its foundation cornerstone and what he was called.

  only non-believers cast doubt and were crushed under a mountain of bible passages that were heaped upon them.

  i was trying to watch this movie with will smith titled "seven pounds".. i got an hour and 15 mins.

  in and i just had to turn it off.. what a waste of time.. so what are some or your least favorite movies?

  am i being ignored or is there some sort of it problem?

  they still give my husband km for me.

  i truly do not know why so i was flipping through the july one and it made me so mad, another example of us not doing enough.. "nelena, who is 19 years old and lives in bulgaria, had two desires-to be baptized and to auxiliary pioneer.

  however, she suffers from hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy, which for the moment is incurable.

  This is something that I always feared too. The bible would say things like it "no flesh would survive" and I would think of what the Holocaust victims endured. Or the Christians being fed to lions or burned alive and I admit that I was frightened. I'm glad that I got over that nonsense. Now I'm embarrassed for having believed it.

  On a side note, an idiot CO said something interesting one time. He said that when you look at places where JWs are visciously persecuted like China, Middle East, Korea, Africa, etc. it could be that these JWs are already experiencing the Great Tribulation. Perhaps it just hasn't reached us yet. I thought to myself, "What an odd thing to say."

  Holy Spirit in Judicial Committees

  one of the most controversial practices of jehovah's witnesses is the operation of judicial committees.

  these specially-assigned inquisitory boards are manned by at least 3 elders and interrogate, investigate and finally prosecute a person believed to be guilty of any number of offenses.

  these offenses can be anything from heavy drinking, masturbation, swearing to infidelity, apostacy even issues of bloodguilt.

  sphere - It's mind-boggling how everything they seem to say contridicts everything else they say. I was always taught that if you are committing some secret sin or otherwise "grieving the Holy Spirit" that you will NOT have God's blessings and therefore would never be able to serve in any capacity. And then this idiot CO comes along and implies that a man can be abusive at home, but when he comes to the hall, Jehovah will use him as a "sacred vessel".
